I didn't start ELC Experiences because I needed something to do.
I started it because I finally stopped pretending that what I do for fun isn't actually what I was built for.
For as long as I can remember I've been the person who makes the moment happen. The one who shows up early, stays late, obsesses over the details nobody else notices, and feels genuinely fulfilled watching people walk into a space and feel something. I've planned events, styled celebrations, and created experiences for family, friends, and communities for years — not as a job, but as a joy. It was just something I did because it fed something in me.
Then the Army taught me everything else I needed to know.
Service isn't a job description to me. It's a value system. It's how I move through the world.
I served this country for years. The military gave me discipline, precision, the ability to execute under pressure, and an understanding of what it actually means to show up for people — not when it's convenient, but when it counts.
When I retired I found myself at a crossroads that a lot of veterans know well. You've spent years being part of something larger than yourself. You've had purpose baked into every single day. And then suddenly you're supposed to figure out what's next and "what's next" has to carry the same weight as everything that came before it.
For me the answer was hiding in plain sight.
It was in every birthday party I'd styled on a weekend. Every event I'd planned just because someone I loved deserved a beautiful moment. Every time I'd looked around a room I'd designed and felt that quiet satisfaction that I can't quite explain but absolutely cannot ignore. The joy of making someone's moment come to life isn't something I had to find. I just had to finally decide it was worth building a business around.
So I did.
ELC Experiences was born from that decision.
ELC stands for Ease. Luxury. Connection. Three words that capture exactly what I believe every great experience should deliver. And honestly, CONNECTION is the one that ties everything together. It's what a great event creates. And it's what I want every single client to feel when they walk into a space ELC helped bring to life.
We're a Kansas City based event rental and experience company. We carry a curated inventory of premium rental pieces — magazine cover photo booths, dramatic backdrop installations, crystal column stands, and more — and we're adding new pieces regularly. We also offer design services for clients who need help pulling a vision together, and full-service event execution for those who want someone to handle it all.
We serve celebrations of every kind; birthdays, milestone gatherings, baby showers, corporate events, and military and veteran ceremonies that hold a special place in my heart. We also partner with wedding planners and other event professionals who need premium rental pieces to bring their clients' visions to life.
We're new to the business. We're not new to the work.
ELC Experiences LLC officially launched in September 2026. But the experience behind it has been building for decades; through military service, through years of passion projects, through one extraordinary 75th birthday gala that reminded me exactly what I'm capable of when I put everything I have into someone's moment.
We're building this business in real time and we're going to bring you with us. The setups. The behind the scenes. The lessons. The events. The journey of a veteran turned entrepreneur who believes that serving her community looks like helping people celebrate the moments that matter most.
